In 2016 California declared a drought state of emergency that resulted in mandatory water cutbacks.

This poster brings awareness to this severe event by creating a juxtaposition of two visually similar objects, a blowfish and a barrel cactus. These objects exist in opposite environments. The spine and spike elements of these objects emphasize the potential danger of the drought.
